Training Non-Human Primates

This badge signifies the completion of the course Training Non-Human Primates to Improve Animal Welfare.  This course looks at many examples of training non-human primates to participate in day to day care, preventative care, cooperative in medical procedures and also how to address some behavior problems commonly encountered when working with non-human primates. It also looks at how training can facilitate data collection for studies such as the great ape cardiac program and how training is working to help conservation. This is a nice introduction to what is possible and what to expect when working with non-human primates, especially for those new to this taxonomic group.
